I finally got the new stereo installed into the Ford Taurus. Now both the truck and the car have the same model stereo.
In the car, the factory stereo amp is in the trunk so we had to run speaker wires and an antenna extention from the amp to the radio pod in the dash. I then wired in the new stereo harness and used the enclosed adapter to use the stock plugs for power, ground, etc. Everything works and the car panels are all back in place. Other than the new stereo and new pod, you can't tell we had to run wires all around the car.
